The Intro to Google Docs class will cover all the basics of using Google's free, web-based software and storage service. Google Docs can be used for business or personal needs, and can be used to create budgets, presentations, word processing, and even drawing. This lecture-based class details why Google Docs can be so useful, what applications are available, security concerns, and hands-on instruction using various Google Docs. Students are required to have a gmail (Google Mail) account before registering for this class, but no experience using Google.docs is expected. Upon completion of this class, students will be able to create, edit, and share their own Google Docs, as well as learn useful short-cuts and formatting considerations.
