Thanks to the support of members of our industry, and to the generous contributions of CFVA, our work is paying off right now. The state incentivized more than three times the amount of production in the last third of 2012 than in all of 2011.
We have received commitments for more than $6 million in new revenue directly attributable to the incentive. Companies receiving incentives have brought on nearly 100 new, full-time and high-paying jobs.
We are receiving more queries for production every single day.
So we're definitely making an impact in the industry and headed in the right direction. However, this is an ongoing effort, and we continue to seek support for our industry in Colorado.
To that end, February 8, 2013 marks the anniversary of CINEMA Day and we will be celebrating at the History Colorado Center from 5:00 - 8:00pm. We are launching an exciting new student film competition and hope to have more of you engaged as volunteer mentors for the competition.
The event is a collaborative effort with History Colorado, the Denver Film Society, and CINEMA. We'll have a tequila tasting provided by Republic Tequila and wine from Cima Collina in Carmel Valley, California. Our sponsors thus far include: CFVA, Film in Colorado, Havey Productions, Hendricks Financial Services, MAXIMUM Talent, and Walk the Line Films. There's still time to sign on as a sponsor! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We hope to see you all there. Click here for ticket information.
Here's to making 2013 a banner year for our industry.
