Principal photography complete for 13th & Pearl.
Denver's only sitcom style tv pilot. 13th & Pearl is a sitcom style tv pilot set in a fictional version of Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. It tells the story of a group of small business owner’s who have to band together to protect their neighborhood from an unscrupulous developer.
The show was originally conceived by Chris Graves, who first pitched the show fifteen years ago. The project didn’t take off then, and Chris moved on to several other successful business ventures. Recently Chris decided to resurrect the project, and brought in Darin Foat, a former classmate from the CU Boulder film program, to help him re-imagine the show. Darin wrote a script based on Chris’s original idea, and the two of them decided to produce the project independently.
They have assembled an excellent cast. The female lead, Christine Elise McCarthy, has starred on such shows as ER, and the original Beverly Hills 90210, and was recently featured in the movie Prom.
Shelly Cole, a recent transplant to Denver from LA worked in three seasons of The Gilmore Girls, among many other film and TV credits.
Marty Lindsey, a powerhouse talent in the Denver film scene recently starred in The Inner Room, The Mighty King of Love, Race Walkers and INK.
They are backed up by a stellar group of Denver based actors, including Megan Heffernan, Michael Shalhoub, Steven J Burge and Donnie Betts.
The project was shot entirely on location in Denver, including a day at Capitol Hill landmark Wax Trax Records, Pete's cafe, Rosa Mia's (North Denver) and Kilgore Books.
