9th Annual Vail Film Festival, March 29 – April 1

The festival includes screenings of 58 films, Nightly Parties, Filmmaker Q&As, Live Music, and more. All parties, and the Hospitality Lounge include complimentary Stella Artois beer for all passholders.

Highlights include the U.S. premiere of THE EYE OF THE STORM starring Academy Award-winner® Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling and Judy Davis. THE EYE OF THE STORM was nominated for twelve Australian Academy Awards. 6 MONTH RULE, written and directed by Vail Film Festival alum Blayne Weaver, starring Weaver, Martin Starr, Jaime Pressly, and Natalie Morales, many of whom will be in attendance. Special Saturday screening of PUNCTURE starring Chris Evans ('Captain America,' 'Push,' 'Fantastic Four,'), and Mark Kassen, and directed by Adam Kassen and Mark Kassen. The Kassens will be in attendance. Closing Night Film, L!FE HAPPENS helmed by Vail Film Festival alum and talented new director Kat Coiro, starring Krysten Ritter, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel Bilson. Kat Coiro and Krysten Ritter will in attendance to introduce the film. Director Fred Schepisi will receive the Vanguard Award and actor Krysten Ritter will receive the Excellence in Acting award at the festival awards ceremony on Saturday March 31st.

The Friday Concert features Sara Bareilles (Known for ‘Love Song,’ ‘Winter Song,’ ‘King of Anything,’ Three-time Grammy nominee, Celebrity judge on NBC’s hit show ‘The Sing Off’), Cary Brothers (Best known for ‘Blue Eyes’ from the Grammy-winning ‘Garden State’ soundtrack), and acclaimed musicians Greg Laswell, Javier Dunn, Buddy, Harper Blynn, and Laura Jansen.
