Lone Star International Film Festival Submissions Are Open

This year, the festival is implementing a new focus for its feature competition section.

In short, the festival will seek to support films and filmmakers that are interested in pursuing new, non-traditional distribution strategies for their films.

In promoting this new direction, we have developed the following short statement: There is much to be said about the rapidly changing world of film distribution and in 2011 the LSIFF will officially join the conversation. Program details, partners, and participants will be announced soon. Submissions are open now.

Locally-produced U.S. Air National Guard's "Wingman Project" Film to Screen in Denver

Directed by MaryLee Herrmann and produced by Kenneth Wajda of Denver Boulder Video, the 13-minute film "Ashley Waits" will screen on Saturday, July 23rd at 7pm at the Colorado Independent Women of Film event in Denver.


TV pilot - 13th & Pearl

Principal photography complete for 13th & Pearl.

Denver's only sitcom style tv pilot. 13th & Pearl is a sitcom style tv pilot set in a fictional version of Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. It tells the story of a group of small business owner’s who have to band together to protect their neighborhood from an unscrupulous developer.


Mind's Eye Shooting in Boulder

Mind's Eye, a sci-fi psychological thriller, is currently shooting in Boulder, Colorado. The production company, Black Wing Digital, is attempting the most ambitious local feature film production to ever originate from Boulder.

The film features Malcolm Mcdowell (A Clockwork Orange), Dean Cain (Lois & Clark), and Natalie Distler in leading roles. Local actors Kevin Sean Ryan and David William Murray Fisher are also featured in leading support roles.


Peter O’toole, Tom Sizemore, FILM IN COLORADO!

Denver residents Nick Ortiz-Trammell and Catrina Trammell(both residents of of Denver) were invited to produce the SAG and WGA signatory feature length film “Morella” which is based upon the Edgar Allen Poe Story of the same title, directed by mulitple award winner, Adam Ropp.
